International care ministries and I.

Today I am sharing another charity that are experts at "Feeding the World's Starving"

Below I furnish the link and blurb for the International Care Ministries Blog and my book listing for the charity. I was provided with help and insight from their Hong Kong office and the director. In the book I appreciated their input, but the communication skills they use blew me away, and to think they took the time to talk to us. I felt the sincere love they have for humanities down-trodden, and their selfless efforts to relieve the pain thriving in war-torn destinations, or in this case assembling the pieces of the Philippines and its people after the 7.2 earthquake wreaked havoc.

The 7.2-magnitude earthquake that struck the central Philippines on Tuesday morning severely devastated the Island of Bohol, where one of our ICM Bases is located.  The ICM staff were at home enjoying their public holiday when the earthquake struck.  The ICM Bohol Base employs 54 staff who work with over 600 partner pastors, but with the majority of ICM’s leaders traveling on a plane to Hong Kong on Tuesday for a leadership training, this became the first crisis for our new leader, Minierva Lahaylahay, who has just been promoted to interim Area Head of Bohol.

http://www.caremin.com/ Since 1992, ICM has touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of ultra poor Filipinos in thousands of slum communities across the Philippines. After participating in our transforming values, health and livelihood training, our families experience:

- 85% reduction in reported physical abuse
- 22% reduction in reported serious illnesses
- 61% increase in household income

In 2012-2013, ICM has provided training to 745 communities, impacting over 115,000 family members. This charity is very effective and a superb effort.
